How cool would life be if you loved what you do and you found yourself always doing what you love?
Entrepreneurs, by and large, live like this. You get to live this life too if you identify what you love and building love for what you do.
Determine what you love
Many entrepreneurs throughout history have managed to do this by having the courage to determine what they would love to do, and then finding a way of making that into something that can provide them with the resources they need to sustain it and grow it.
A Real Life Story
A friend of mine once attended one of our annual Ignite Your Business Programs and he was skeptical about it at first. We asked our group to think about what they would love to do with their lives by defining a 5 Year Vision for themselves.
This friend was not completely happy with what he was doing and was not sure how he could still provide for his family if he followed his dream. He identified through the vision setting process that he loves fishing and photography. He wrote this down and pondered how it could possibly work.
After much deep thinking and incredible persistence, he managed to craft a plan.
He is now a professional fishing photographer and is loving what he does and doing what he loves every day. He found a way, because he has developed the ability to think like an Entrepreneur and he had the courage to follow his dreams.
The Questions to Answer
Here are some of the questions he answered for himself:
- What do I love to do?
- What am I passionate about?
- What am I good at?
- What will make me happy?
Once you answer those few questions, you will be able to identify what you would love to do. The next step is to find a way of making it happen. Think without limitations and start to sketch a concept document detailing your ideas.
Create a Concept Document
- Has it ever been done before?
- How would you imagine that others have done it?
- What can you do to make it better than them?
- Who do you need to help you make it happen?
- What resources do you need to make it happen?
Successful Entrepreneurs love what they do because they do what they love. That is how they become successful.
