Evaluating 2011 and Thinking about 2012

Have a Great Christmas

As 2011 draws to a close, we encourage you to reflect on what you did and did not achieve during the year.  A great exercise is to remember where you were at the beginning of the year, compare it to where you are today and take note of how you have grown and what you have done this past year.

Each year is a critical building block on your journey through life and you need to appreciate who you have become in the last year and what you have achieved.

We encourage you to start thinking about what you want to achieve in 2012. Just casually over the next 10 days or so, start your thought process.

As you start thinking about your ideas, plans dreams and goals for 2012, jot them down in a notebook and if you don’t have a note book or journal, get yourself one for Christmas !!

Jot down some rough notes.  Nothing has to be concrete or final at this stage.  Make a pact with yourself that you will improve your life in all areas in 2012.  Right now in the last 12 days of the year, you have an opportunity to really think about what you want to achieve in 2012.

It is important to strive for greatness in 2012. Why not?  We all have the same unlimited potential within us, so we can all be as great as we wish or dream.    Think about how you are going to break free from your comfort zone this coming year and take your life to a whole new level of achievement, productivity, efficiency and success.  Remember that comfort and security are the enemy of greatness!!  If you feel nervous or fearful as you think through what you want to achieve this coming year, honour that feeling as that is the feeling of growth and freedom.

Know that when you feel those butterflies or that knot in your tummy, that’s the feeling that successful people thrive on.  That’s the fuel that makes them achieve and all you have to do is learn to turn that feeling of fear in to excitement like they do.  If you don’t have that feeling regularly, you are not pushing your boundaries!!

So let’s be excited in 2012 (not fearful).  Let’s be excited that the year ahead is full of unlimited opportunities patiently waiting for us to take advantage of them.  Let’s be excited that we get to move our lives onto a new level of achievement.  Let’s be excited that each one of us can individually achieve success if we really put our minds to it.  Let’s be excited that we can change our own fortunes.  Let’s be excited that we are going to be great in 2012 and that we are going to live our lives fully this coming year and really make the most of our time.

Another thing to think about is … what you would do in 2012 if you knew it was the last year of your life? Live it fully and go for greatness!!

We wish you all the best with the last few days of 2011.  We hope you have a great Christmas and as you spend time with family and friends or work collegues or strangers….
