At the beginning of each month, you have available to you around 4 weeks of time to do with what you choose. It is said that “for every minute spent planning, an hour is earned”.
Having a plan and goals at the beginning of each month can help you to dramatically increase your productivity and get you on your road to greatness. Without a plan, you risk spending the month being lost in a sea of options, being confused by what to do first or what to do next and the biggest risk of all is that you get to the end of the month being no further than you are at the beginning of the month. This is throwing time away and as Zig Ziglar says… “You can spend your money but when time is spent it is gone forever”. So spend your time wisely.
Stress is something that no one really likes and two of the biggest causes of stress is uncertainty of the future and unfinished business. In order to reduce your stress levels, get a plan for the month and start acting towards the plan. At the beginning of each month, one of the most important things you can do is to block a morning out to have a meeting with yourself to plan your month. This will enable you to really take control of your time, focus your powerful energy in the right direction and save you many many hours being lost in confusion, frustration, procrastination and stress.
Here are 5 steps to putting together a great monthly plan:
STEP 1 – BOOK OUT A MORNING/DAY TO MEET WITH YOURSELF AND/OR YOUR BUSINESS PARTNERS
STEP 2 – DECIDE ON 5 BIG GOALS FOR THE MONTH
STEP 3 – DECIDE ON 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO DO TO ACHIEVE EACH OF YOUR BIG GOALS
STEP 4 – PRIORITISE YOUR 5 BIG GOALS WITH 1 BEING MOST IMPORTANT, 5 BEING LEAST IMPORTANT
STEP 5 – RECORD ALL OF YOUR MEETING MINUTES IN A “MONTH’S PLAN” REPORT
Have a great month!!
